JOSEPH GEORGE SOLIE
It is a "Celebration of Joseph's Life" that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather "Pa," brother uncle and friend. Joseph passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2017 in the Regina General Hospital, surrounded by his loving sister Geraldine Dornstauder and his family members. Joseph was born in Odessa, Saskatchewan on March 17, 1931. He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Rita; two children, Vernon (Yvonne) Solie and Darlene Solie (Benny Shymko- deceased); three grandchildren, Reena (Skip) Legien, Bret (Ashlee) Solie and Mallory (Carter) Bezan; and six great- grandchildren, Nolan, Layne, Kasey and Ricki Jay Legien, and Lincoln and Acelyn Bezan. Joseph is also survived by his brother Ralph (Terry), Peter (Jean), Ed (Stella) and Gerald (Maryanne); sisters Marie Gravelle, Geraldine (Jim) Dornstauder; and sister-in-law Loretta Solie. He was predeceased by his parents, Adam and Pauline Solie; brother Al Solie; brother and sister-in-law, Leo (Lena) Solie; sisters and brothers-in-law Beatrice (Tony) Vogt, Clementina (Reg) Genz, Carol (Barney) Bobroske; and brother-in- law Hank Gravelle. Visitation for Family and Friends will be held at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home, 2080 East Victoria Avenue Regina on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Child Roman Catholic Church, 2636 7th Avenue East, Regina on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.
