It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our brother and uncle, Leopold Biberdorf, of Vernon, BC, on July 15, 2012 at the age of 81 years. Leo was born on November 29, 1930 in Steelman, SK to Adolf and Meta Biberdorf. There he received his education, farmed and worked for Imperial Oil. In his later years, he made his way to Calgary and then to Vancouver. He retired to the Okanagan Valley in Vernon, BC in 2005. Leo enjoyed the outdoors and he also liked to socialize and spend time with family and friends. Leo was predeceased by his parents, an infant sister, and his brother-in-law, Robert Addie. He is survived by his sisters Elmira Addie, Vancouver, BC and Sina Gillis (William), Gray, SK, brother Henry Biberdorf (Ellen Foster), Steelman, SK, niece Karen Addie (Iain Johnston), Vancouver BC and nephews Kevin Addie, Vancouver, BC, Douglas Gillis (Annette Malten), Budapest, Hungary, Ken Gillis (Deb), Langley, BC, Rick Gillis (Shannon), Phoenix, AZ. He is great- uncle to Michael, William, Cameron, Lindsay, Trevor, Sullivan and Kenna. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Estevan, Saskatchewan, with Pastor Randy Kleemola officiating. Burial will follow at Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan. Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
