MELBOURNE (MEL) PERRY It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mel Perry announce his passing on May 12, 2010 at the age of 75 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 49 years Fran; three children Tricia (Doug) Nottebrock of Kelowna, B.C., Laura (Chris) Fortier of Calgary, AB and Jim (Marcia) also of Calgary; five grandchildren Amie, Lisa, Lauren, Abby and Reid; brothers Jack (Betty) and Ross (Gean); sisters Beth Kraft and Muriel Olson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Margaret and siblings Faye, Mary and Dot. Mel was an avid golfer and World Champion curler, playing lead on the Richardson's team in 1963. He was a man who was loved for his sense of humour and quick wit and enjoyed laughing, especially at his own jokes. He will be missed by his family and his many friends especially his Boston Pizza crew and his dog Austin. A CELEBRATION OF MEL'S LIFE will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK.
