JOUBERT, Paul Joseph
The family of Paul announces his passing on Sunday, October 8, 2017 following a courageous battle with several health challenges at the age of 74 years. Paul was born on August 22, 1943. He pursued a career in teaching, which thanks to his uncle Leopold Girard, began in St. Laurent, MB then Gimli and Virden, MB. Paul then retired to Kenosee Lake, SK in 1998. Due to illness he moved to Regina in 2008 where he spent his later years in care facilities. He was predeceased by his mother Mélina (nee Fontaine) in 1948; stepmother Hélène in 1992; and father Joseph in 1995. Paul leaves to mourn his loving family and beloved nieces and nephews: stepsister Evelyne Riffel (Larry deceased) and their family Kathleen, Kevin (Pamela and their children Tehalen and Evan); half-brother Ray (Shelley) and their family Mark (Kirsten and their children Jackson, Mireille, Nolan, Joseph and Leo) and Michelle Pool (Tyler and their children Colton and Aubrey); half- sister Denise Code (Bill) and their family Warren (Amy and twins Charlie and Sam), Brian (Linda) and Laura (partner Jordan). The family is forever grateful to the staff of Sunset Extendicare for their outstanding compassion and care, and to Dr. Susan McLeod and staff of the MSU at the Pasqua Hospital for the wonderful care they provided Paul during his final days. A private family celebration of Paul's life is being planned for some time in the future to coincide with his wishes. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Paul may be made to Sunset Extendicare, 260 Sunset Drive, Regina, SK S4S 2S3 or Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation, 9 Lancaster Road, Moose Jaw, SK S6J 1M8 for his love of wildlife.
