1927 - 2013
Pete Petersen, former longtime Ag Rep for the Yorkton district, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Yorkton.
Born at Wadena, Pete attended the University of Saskatchewan, graduating from the College of Agriculture in 1952. Following a brief time at Watson, Pete served the Hudson Bay district for six years before transferring to Yorkton where he was the district 12 Ag Rep for 26 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Milly in 2009, he is survived by sons Darryl (Lola) of Saskatoon; Dean (Gayla) of Yorkton, Derek (Linda) of Invermere, BC; grandchildren: Janna, Elyse, Kelsey and Dane; brothers Arne Petersen (Madeline) of Emma Lake, Maren Wilson of Saskatoon and Toody Turner of Debden. Funeral service will be held at Westview United Church in Yorkton on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 1:30 pm. Interment in the Yorkton Memorial Gardens. Memorials to the Saskatchewan 4-H Foundation would be appreciated and may be sent to the funeral home at 45 5th Ave. N. Yorkton, SK S3N 0Y9.
