Wendell George Knoll , born October 26, 1919 in the Kendal District, passed away peacefully November 16, 2012 in Indian Head, SK. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Regina in 2006, sons: Fredrick, Danny and Randy in infancy, daughter Donna Vogt in 1989, son Ken Knoll in 2007, his brother Victor, sisters: Annie, Katie, Margaret, Antonia and Elizabeth. Wendell is survived by his children Marie (Colin) Hastie, Dan (Helen) Knoll, John (Linda) Knoll, Wendell Jr. ( Mary Ann) Knoll, Carol (Michael) Uhrich, Neil Vogt and Tony (Brenda) Knoll, 24 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren, sisters: Anastasia Bleishwitz and Anna Mary Rink, brothers and sisters-in-law: , Mag Boire, George and Loretta Kress, Joe Derringer, Doreen Kress, Phyllis and Ken Baseden, Fran and George Heck, John and Sonya Kress and numerous nieces and nephews. Wendell served in the Army from 1941-1945 serving as homeland security. He married Regina Kress in 1943 and enjoyed 62 years together. They lived on the family farm until 1982 when they moved to Kendal and continued farming with his son John for many years after moving to town. Wendell was able to stay living in his own home until his passing to the wonderful care of his granddaughter Jennifer. He was a lifetime member of the Kendal Knights of Columbus. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ignatius R.C. Church, Kendal, SK. on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. by the Rev. Aguinaldo Fermo. Interment in St. Ignatius Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Ignatius Parish Cemetery Fund Box 106 Kendal, SK. S0G 2P0 or to a charity of one's choice. On line condolences may be made at www.tubmanfh.com.
