Wilma Eva Kemp (Rubin)
Wilma Eva Kemp died on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Extendicare Elmview in Regina at the age of 90 years. Wilma was born at Whitetail, Montana on September 18, 1922, the eighth of nine children of Hilma and William Rubin and raised on a farm near Coronach, SK. She attended the local country school, finishing grade 12 by correspondence. She married Tommy Kemp on August 9, 1941 at Coronach and raised her family in Weyburn, where they lived from 1947 to 1965. They moved to Gull Lake, SK from 1965 to 1967 then on to Estevan, SK until Tommy's retirement when they moved to Medicine Hat AB. Wilma and Tommy served two missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, one in New Mexico and one in Oklahoma. Following these missions, they settled in Regina SK. Wilma is predeceased by her parents, husband Tommy (1996) and seven of her eight siblings. She is survived by her brother Jack Rubin; children Francis (Pat), Glenda (Alan Johnson), Kim (John Hanafin), Gail (Stewart Scoville) and Raymond. She will be missed by her 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon), 550 Sangster Blvd, Regina SK. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery followed by a reception at the LDS Church.
