MILNE, Laurine Marie
Laurine Marie Milne (Avanzino) died peacefully the evening of May 6, 2014. She was predeceased by her sister Ruth Wagner (Morley). Laurine was born June 25, 1919 to parents Ralph and Florence Avanzino. She is survived by her husband Bob Milne; her sister Mabel Alexander; her step-children, Katherine Arbuthnott (Dennis), Ron Milne and David Milne (Shelley); her seven grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; her niece and nephews; her great-nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends. Throughout her life, Laurine was a lively and loved primary school teacher in many places throughout the prairie provinces; she particularly loved southwestern Saskatchewan. She was an avid world traveler and a writer. Thanks to the staff of Extendicare Parkside for their excellent care of Laurine during the last years of her life. A CELEBRATION OF LAURINE'S LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laurine's memory to a charity of your choice.
