VANDE VELDE, Yvette (nee Picard)
Yvette was born on December 2, 1931 in the Meadow Lake District, and passed away in Regina on June 13, 2014 at the age of 82. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 65 years, Firmin; children, Carolyn (Doug) McNeice, Brenda (Blair Cameron) Vande Velde and Terry- Marie (Greg) Keil; grandchildren, Tina, Rod (Amber), Adam (Vanora), Jarred (Rowena), Victoria (Jason), Derrik (Samantha), Wanita (Darcy), Vanessa (Steele) and Jeff (Quinn); step- grandchildren, Darcy (Lesley), Todd, Sheila (Pete), Cody (Melissa) and Tyler (Ann); fifteen great-grandchildren with another due in October; fourteen step- great-grandchildren; one step-great- great-grandchild; sister, Germaine Nelson; brothers, Roger Picard and Bob Picard; sisters-in-law, Helene (Harold) Bringsli and Linda (Mervin) Fiissel; many nieces, nephews and their families; and very close friends Lloyd and Bernice Glover. Waiting at Heaven's gate to meet Yvette are her son, Vern Vande Velde; great-grandson, Alex Morrow; parents, Marguerite (nee Berube) and Wilfrid Picard; sisters, Yvonne (Joe) Vande Velde and Irene (Larry) Ramsay; brother, Ray (Marlene) Picard; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Germaine (Max) Volk, Irene (Bert) Hoffert, Roberta Picard, Adrian (Flo) Vande Velde, Lucien (Mayo) Vande Velde, Gary Nelson and Agnes (Chris) Deis. Although mom wasn't at Bright Water long, we would like to thank everyone there for all their help and support. Thank you. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in Yvette's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK, S4P 2R3.
