BEAUMONT, June Maxine (Mohr)
July 26, 1923 - April 21, 2012
Maxine died peacefully at Kinmara Care Home on April 21, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob), her parents, Henry and Lottie Mohr, her brothers Raymond Mohr and Lorne Mohr, and her son-in-law Mark Wilson. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Brian) Copp, Victoria, BC; Roberta (Ryan) Clark, Fairlight, SK; Victoria (Karl) Brooks, Kansas City, MO; and Donna Wilson, Regina, SK. Grandchildren Laura (Bruce) Webster, Gail Copp, Rena (Tyrone) Okrainetz, Rebecca (Robert) Johnson, Jason (Lara) Konkin, and Robert Wilson, and great-grandchildren Meagan, Thomas, Brodie, Ryder, Tyler, Ryley, and Reid. She is also survived by her sister Rose Elleen Whittle. Maxine was raised at Riceton and went to Normal School in Regina. It was while she was teaching at Weardale School that she met and married Bob. Her life on the farm at Estlin was centered on raising their family, activities through the church and lots of driving to Regina. Following their semi-retirement, Maxine and Bob spent several winters travelling throughout Canada and the United States and later started spending the winter months in Victoria, BC. Maxine loved the prairie skies and took numerous pictures of storm clouds, sunsets and the hot air balloons that used to float over the farm. When they returned to the farm in the spring she always looked forward to the flowers: lilacs, peonies and tulips. A big thank-you to all the staff at Kinmara for their kind, gentle and patient care while Mom was a resident. Flowers are gratefully declined, but please consider a donation to Kinmara Care Home, 74 Duncan Crescent, Regina or a charity of your choice. A memorial tea for friends and family will be held at a later date.
