KELM, Harold
Harold Kelm passed away peacefully into the presence of God with family at his side in the Regina General Hospital on Monday, June 4, 2012 at the age of 79 years. Harold was born in Winnipeg, MB on May 13, 1933. He was the son of Alexander and Martha (nee Busch) Kelm. Harold is survived by his wife of 53 years Winnifred (nee Milner) Kelm; daughter Karyle (Irwin) Blank; son Alan (Angie) Kelm; grandchildren Keegan and Gabriel Blank and Anne, Katie and Daniel Kelm; siblings Walter (Joey) Kelm, Edna Luschynski and Milton (Irma) Kelm; as well as 29 nieces and nephews. Harold completed the early years of his university studies while working full-time at the telegraph office and earned his Ph.D. at the University of Manitoba. He was a professor of Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, teaching for 27 years and retiring in 1993. For many years he taught two concurrent introductory courses of over 300 students each. He loved his students, pouring his heart and soul into teaching, having a significant impact upon countless students over the years. A faithful and loving husband and father, he was also a man of prayer and deep love for God. His frequent periods of intercession gave him a foretaste of glory which he is now beginning to enjoy. He delighted to speak of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and will soon hear the call "well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord." He will be dearly missed by those he left behind, 'til we meet again.' A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at First Baptist Church, 2241 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Harold may be made to Souls Harbor Rescue Mission, 3535 - 8th Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 0T6 or to Samaritan's Purse Canada, 20 Hopewell Way N.E., Calgary, AB T3J 5H5.
