JUNE 6, 1936 - FEBRUARY 26, 2013
Daniel passed away at the Wascana Grace hospice in Regina, SK on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the age of 77 years. Daniel is predeceased by parents Nellie and Alexander McIntosh, brothers Charles and James, and sister-in-law, Marion. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Betty, son Daryl (Tara), daughter Donna, grandchildren Geoffrey (Adele) McIntosh, Janelle (Christopher) Sigfusson and Brendan McIntosh, great-granddaughters Abigale and Chloe McIntosh, sister Mary Klein, brothers Con and Hap (Marlene) McIntosh, sister-in- law Joyce McIntosh, brother-in-law Bill (Ruth) Anderson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dan was born and raised in Regina, SK. He worked for many years and subsequently retired from CN Railway. Although retired, he continued to pursue his love of the railways by maintaining his model train hobby and keeping touch with his co- workers through active participation in the CN Pensioners Club. One of his and Betty's favourite pastimes was to spend their summers at Rowan's Ravine Provincial Park and later at Island View Resort. They spent many happy years there, hosting and participating in numerous happy hours, barbeques and much quality time with precious friends and family. Dan loved spending time with and watching his grandchildren grow up, and was so very proud to have two beautiful great granddaughters. His happy, caring, joking personality will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Dan's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Ave, Regina, SK with Rev. Jim Balfour officiating. Special thanks to the Staff at the Regina General Hospital Renal Unit, and William Booth Grace Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
