ADAM, Ronald David
With tears falling and hearts breaking, our family announces the passing of Ron Adam on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Ron was predeceased by his parents Tom and Ethel Adam; brothers Ray and Stan; baby sister in infancy (Nonie); brother-in-law James Karasin; sister-in-law Shiela Adam; nephew David; and great-granddaughter Lily Rae Holmes. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Phyllis; children Colleen (Rick) Holmes and Mark Oliver; grandchildren Chelsea (Joey), Jennifer, Shawna (Braden), Luke and Tyler; great grandchildren Draeden, Leah and Addison; brother Reg (Catherine); sisters-in-law Francis Karasin and Betty Adam; as well numerous nieces and nephews in Saskatchewan and Alberta; and his cat Jasmine. Ron was born in Lloydminster on December 16, 1933 and he grew up in Yorkton and Saskatoon. Ron was passionate about football and was quarterback for the Saskatoon Hilltops and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Ron co-owned and operated a service station then he moved into management with Sears from which he retired. Ron was a people person, he always had a happy greeting and a handshake that meant something. He had a unique laugh that we all loved to hear. Ron was a kind and gentle man, and a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather and great grandfather. He was always there for his grandchildren with a big hug and a listening ear. Ron especially loved holidays and looked forward to helping with the Christmas baking by eating all the broken cookies. Grandpa Ron will be missed by all of his family who love and treasure him. We are grateful for the beautiful spirit of Ron. Special thanks to the staff of Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region. As per Ron's wishes there will be a private family memorial. Donations can be made to Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7.
