Hannah LEFLAR Obituary
Hannah Maggie Leflar was born on Thursday, November 19, 1998 into the loving arms of her parents, Janet and Jeff. Her father Jeff was the first to kiss her sweet face. Hannah was always a happy little girl and though shy, warmed up quickly to people and touched everyone she met throughout her short life. She was growing into a bright, beautiful, confident young woman when her life was taken suddenly and tragically on Monday, January 12, 2015 at the age of 16. Released into the loving and protective arms of her Nana Maggie and Auntie Elaine. Left to cherish the memory of this beautiful soul, her mother Janet; stepfather Wade Anderson; and stepbrothers, Dylan and Mitchell; her always doting father Jeff; stepmother Loredana; and stepbrother Alexandru. This wonderful little girl was so lucky to have four loving parents helping to raise her. She will also be terribly missed by her grandparents, Wayne and Candis Davies and Fritz and Gloria Leflar; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Candlelight Vigil will be held in Hannah's memory on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Thom Collegiate, 265 Argyle Street North, at 5:43 p.m. The Celebration of her Life will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Turvey Centre, 100 Armour Road, Hwy 6 N, at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend both services. I hadn't met many of Hannah's friends yet but I have gotten to know her very well since she was dating one of my best friends. She was one of the sweetest people I have met and she made everyone around her happy. This week I have seen the loss of a friend and the emotional destruction of mutual friends, and I can not imagine what her own family will be like. My prayers are out for the Leflar family and relatives, I am so, so sorry for the loss.

Although I never knew Hannah personally, Hannah & my daughter Amy went to Gladys McDonald School & Thom Collegiate together. It's beyond words how this senseless tragedy has affected me. Hannah has earned her angels wings and is now in the loving hands of our heavenly Father. There is no loss like the loss of a child.
