The world got a little quieter with the sudden passing of Cheryl Lynn Altwasser on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the age of 57 years. Left to mourn are: husband Grant; daughters, Carla (Chad) and Kendra (Mark); her four grandchildren which she loved dearly, Lyla, Griffin, Bennett, and Emerson; mother Elaine Kelln; father Harvey Kelln; as well as family and friends too numerous to mention. Cheryl's life's breath was her family and deep faith – those whom she chose to call friends were blessed to be included in her large circle of caring. A Public Visitation will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Cheryl's Life will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2015-4th Avenue North on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cheryl may be made to the Mount Olive Church Memorial Fund, 2015-4th Avenue North, Regina, SK, S4R 0T5. I just heard of Cheryl's passing and my heart goes out to all of you. I also worked with this wonderful woman in the Plains ICU. Cheryl could always be counted on to be caring, professional and have that huge smile and laugh that lightened all of our shifts. She lives on in so many ways, in so many hearts.

I don't think Cheryl will ever know how much she has influenced my life. I will always remember her kind heart, infectious laugh and amazing smile. Dear Grant girls and grandchildren I feel like I know you all because I was a friend and nurse that worked with Cheryl in recovery room at Pasqua Hospital ,Omni Surgical centre ,Regina Surgical Centre ,as well as the congestive heart failure clinic throughout our nursing careers . Cheryl was so proud of you all and often talked about you . She would just light up when she talked about the grand babies with that beautiful smile. She was an amazing nurse and friend and will truly be missed .I am very shocked and saddened at her sudden passing . I cannot imagine your pain . I was fortunate to get to know Cheryl and realize what an amazing person she was through working with her at the CKD Clinic. She always spoke fondly of her husband, daughters and grandchildren.
