Cora Belle Brown, 75, of Vandalia, formerly of Ramsey, died on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, in the SCU at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey, with the Rev. Steve Benthal officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in rural Ramsey. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: The family. Online condolences may be shared at www.millerfh.net.
Mrs. Brown was born on Feb. 4, 1937, in Ramsey, the daughter the Louie Earl and Jennie Opal Hicks Rhodes. She married the Rev. Noah Caselton Brown on March 18, 1999; he died on May 20, 2007.
She is survived by sons, Ricky Rhodes of Seattle, Wash., David Cheshire of Boise, Idaho, Randy Cheshire of Escanaba, Mich., Brian Cheshire of Little Rock, Ark., and Bruce Cheshire of Hartford, Mich.; daughter, Diane Smith of Hartford, Mich.; stepsons, Charles Brown of Vandalia, Ricky Brown of Pana, Scott Brown of Vandalia and Kevin Brown of Ramsey; and stepdaughters, Phyllis Brown of Pana, Marcia Eller of Hillsboro, Rhonda Miller of Shelbyville and Dawn Thies of Effingham.
