Edward L. Houston, 77, of Patoka, died on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Centralia Fireside House in Centralia.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka, with the Rev. David Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Pratt Cemetery, with military rites accorded by Patoka American Legion Post 5434 and the Illinois Army National Military Funeral Honors Team. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday and one hour before services on Tuesday, both at the funeral home. Memorials: Leukemia Society or Pratt Cemetery. Mr. Houston was born on Oct. 5, 1935, in Patoka Township, the son of John W. and Essie Mae Manley Houston. He married Patricia Johnson, and they later divorced.
He is survived by daughters, Malaina Hudson and Toni Bouthillet, both of Florida.
