Wyatt Scott Giles, 18, of Beecher City, passed away at 7:35 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Beecher City Church of Christ, with Sid Hutchinson and Kevin Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Hubbartt Cemetery near Beecher City. Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: The family. Wyatt was born on March 27, 1995, in Effingham. He was the son of Darin P. Giles and Kiley N. Logue.
He graduated from Beecher City High School in 2013. In high school, he participated in basketball, baseball and FFA all four years, and he was a member of the Varsity Club.
He had recently been accepted into the John Deere Tech Program at Lake Land College, which is sponsored by Sloan Implement Co. of Vandalia, where he had been employed since graduation.
He was an outdoorsman and an avid hunter.
He is survived by his parents, Darin Giles and his wife Jana of Beecher City, and Kiley Logue and her fiancé Ray Holbrook of Vandalia; grandparents, Dean and Sandy Giles of Beecher City, Debi Seely of Cowden and Jim Logue of St. Elmo; great-grandmother, Beulah Logue of St. Elmo; brother, Westen Giles of Beecher City; sister, Wenoa Giles of Beecher City; stepbrother, Brady Randall of Beecher City; stepsister, Jaycie Randall of Beecher City; stepgrandparents, John and Carol Britton of Herrick; several uncles, aunts and cousins; and special friend Mackenzie McClintock.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Paul and Jessie McElroy, Charlie and Waneta Giles, Pete and Margie Seely, and Don Logue.

It breaks my heart every time I read someone lost a child. We also lost a son at the age of 23 in a car accident. We pray for God's peace and healing of your hearts. One day at a time.
