Ambuehl, Shianne Ranee - Vandalia  
Shianne Ranee Ambuehl, 20, of Vandalia, passed away near Smithboro on Saturday, May 14, 2016. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday at Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia. Shianne was born on April 11, 1996, the daughter of Patrick and Geanette (Hans) Ambuehl. She was a 2014 graduate of Vandalia Community High School and was currently a student enrolled in the nursing program at Kaskaskia College. She was active in school activities, mostly known for her love of cheerleading and her outgoing, fun personality. She is survived by her father; fiancée, Isac Gann of Ramsey; brothers, Michael Ambuehl and Timothy Ambuehl, both of Vandalia; nephew, Kayden Ambuehl; grandparents, Kay Ambuehl of Vandalia, Reva DeJaynes of Pearl and Galin Vaughn of Vandalia; uncle, Mark Ambuehl of Vandalia; aunt, Terri Oldham of Vandalia; and cousins, Kayla Ambuehl and Derek Ambuehl. She was preceded in death by her mother and a grandfather, Kenneth Ambuehl.

Andrews, Harold "Andy" - North Aurora  
Harold "Andy" Andrews, 89, of North Aurora, formerly of Hagarstown, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 13, 2016, at his home. Visitation and services were held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Aurora. Burial was in Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials: St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 27 S. Edgelawn, Aurora, Ill. 60506. Mr. Andrews was born on Aug. 30, 1926, in Hagarstown, the son of Thomas Roy and Addie Agnes (Largent) Andrews. Andy was a longtime member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 319 for 68 years. He retired from Ruddy Brothers after many years of service. He was also a member of the Kane Kounty Kar Klub. He is survived by his children, Sharon and her husband Doug Nord, Joe Andrews and his wife Judy, Tom Andrews and his wife Michele, and Kelly and her husband Kevin Ryan; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 tears, Iona Jean (Charleston) Andrews; one brother; and two sisters.

Green, Virgil L. "Pat" - Vandalia  
Virgil L. "Pat" Green, 85, of Vandalia, died on Monday, May 16, 2016, in Vandalia. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Kurt Simon officiating. Burial with military rites will be in McInturff Cemetery in Hagarstown. Visitation will be held from noon until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Green was born on April 5, 1931, in Mora, Minn., the son of Hiram M. and Edith Ann (Richardson) Green. He married Dorothy Lee Walker on December 22, 1951, in Venice, Ill. Survivors include his wife; son, Patrick Green and his wife Julie of Vandalia; and daughters, Patty and her husband David Marler of Mulberry Grove, and Tammy and her husband Charles Lett of Vandalia.

Patrick ""Pat"" Hicks, 50, of St. Elmo, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Crown Point Church in rural Vandalia, with the Rev. Pete LeDuc officiating. Burial will be in Farmers Cemetery in rural Shobonier. He is survived by his mother; fiancée, Norlena Horn; daughters, Katrina Hutson, and Brianna Horn and fiancé Troy Waltman; sons, CJ Horn and his wife Abby, and Jesse Horn; grandchildren, Bentley, Chucky and Annabella Horn; brothers, Floyd ""Butch"" Hicks Jr., Randy Hicks and special friend Patsy Tinker, Timothy ""Timmy"" Hicks, Terry Hicks and his wife Sherry, Michael Hicks and his wife Cyndi, Howard Hicks and his wife Ashley, Brian Robertson and his wife Christy, and Floyd Hicks III; and sisters, Alma Torbeck, Cheryl and her husband Edward ""Brian"" Tedrick, Mary McNealy, Tonya Hicks, Tina Bennish, Jennifer and her husband Jason Hill, and Michelle and her husband Richard Temples. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Beulah and Harry Cohoon.

He was a retired officer for the Illinois Department of Corrections, former owner/operator of Kidd's Service Station and member of First United Methodist Church, all of Vandalia. He is survived by his wife; sons, Jeff Kidd and his wife Kathy of Altamont, Greg Kidd of Midwest City, Okla., and Mike Kidd of Vandalia; daughter, Beth and her husband Jim Coleman of Mahoment; grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Kelsi, Jon, Jay, Kylee, Dalton, Wayde, Trey and Grant; great-grandchildren, Jill, Carson, Ethan, Kolton, Josh, Jacob, Rian and Connor; and sister, Juanita Kidd of Vandalia. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
