Glenn "Tomato Man" Summers, 79, of Patoka, formerly of Shelbyville, died on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Services will be held at noon on Saturday at First Baptist Church of Patoka, with the Rev. David Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Meador Cemetery in rural Patoka. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church. Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Summers was born on March 1, 1934, in Virden, the son of the Rev. William A. and Gladys L. Mitchell Summers. He married Karen Gibson in 1959, and they later divorced. He married Ruth Ann Cooley on May 29, 1984, in Springfield.
Survivors include his wife; and children, Dawn and her husband Randy Doty, and Daren Summers and his wife Shannon.
