Anthony D. "A-Train" Workman, 21, of Vandalia, passed away at 12:59 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2015, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at First Baptist church in Ramsey, with the Rev. Terry Sapp officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Ramsey. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Monday and one hour before services on Tuesday, both at the church. Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Anthony "A-Train" Workman was born on Sept. 30, 1993, in Centralia. He was the son of Scott and Sherri Workman of Vandalia, and Kim and Clint Donaldson of Ramsey.
He was the recipient of a heart transplant when he was 16, and ever since his surgery, he wanted to live life to the fullest. He is a Vandalia Community High School alumni, and he loved to go fishing and hunting. He attended Ramsey Christian Church and Northside Christian Church in Vandalia.
He is survived by his parents; sisters, Bailee Workman of Vandalia, and Payge Donaldson and Brooke Donaldson of Ramsey; brother, Clay Donaldson of Ramsey; grandparents, Juanita Workman of Vandalia, Ardith and Ernie Carman of Pocahontas, Connie and Rich Meyer of St. Charles, Mo., Danny and Patty Donaldson of Vandalia, and Terry and Teena Yarbrough of Vandalia.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers Teddy Workman and Doug Flemming.
