Betty L. Adermann, 92, of Vandalia, passed away on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Jerry Bagwell officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the church. Memorials: Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery in rural Vandalia or Holy Cross Lutheran Radio Ministry in Vandalia. Mrs. Adermann was born on Sept. 28, 1924, in Ramsey, the daughter of Carl Simpson and Nellie Mae (McKinney) Finley. She married Oscar R. Adermann on June 24, 1951, in Vandalia; he passed away on Aug. 5, 2007.
She was a homemaker and a former employee at Witte Hardware, and a member of the Vandalia Historical Society, American Legion Auxiliary and Holy Cross Lutheran Church, all of Vandalia.
She is survived by a son, Michael "Mike" Adermann of Bloomington; daughter, Patricia "Pat" Adermann of Vandalia; granddaughter, Lauren Adermann-Lagerstrom and her husband Brian of St. Louis, Mo.; special niece, Marsha and her husband Jim McClaren of Carlyle; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Sasse of Vandalia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and two sisters.
