Beulah G. Harrison, 92, of Vandalia, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, in Vandalia.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Burial was in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials: Fayette County Health Department Visiting Nurses in Vandalia. Mrs. Harrison was born on May 26, 1922, in Schram City, the daughter of Charles E. and Hazel V. Hunter Carlock. She married Melville "Ray" Harrison on June 16, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo.; he passed away on July 20, 2002.
She was a retired beautician and owner/operator of Beulah's Beauty Shop for 26 years, and a member of First Baptist Church in Vandalia.
She is survived by a son, Randy Harrison and his wife Bonita of Vandalia; daughter, Vickie and her husband Dan Meseke of Springfield; grandchildren, Jacob, Nicole, Kelsey and Brandon; and a great-granddaughter, Kamiyah.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Mary Bell, Doris Whitlock and Eleanor Foster; and brothers, one at infancy and Myron.
