Billyanna Poe Dugan, 92, of Vandalia, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, in Centralia.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Kurt Simon officiating. Burial will be in Forbis Cemetery in rural Brownstown. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Ashley Community of Faith Church Building Fund, Ashley, Ill. Billyanna was born on Oct. 2, 1924, in Linton, Ind., the daughter of Carl B. and Leontine (Heath) Poe. She married Clifford E. Dugan; he passed away on May 17, 1985. She married Benjamin Forbis on Sept. 2, 2008; he passed away on Dec. 24, 2014.
She was a teacher for 22 years in the Vandalia Elementary Schools; was a life member of NEA, IRTA and Eastern Star; member of First United Methodist Church in Vandalia and Emmanuel Methodist Church in rural Brownstown; and was affiliated with Ashley Community of Faith Church in Ashley.
She is survived by sons, Clifford "Kippy" Dugan II and his wife Carolyn of Jasper, Ind., and the Rev. Cevin Dugan and his wife Mary of Ashley; daughter, Connie Lawson of Leavenworth, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands.
