Charles E. Voelker, 75, of Altamont, died at 11:06 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altamont, with the Revs. James F. Wright and Bernard F. Ross officiating. Burial was in Immanuel Cemetery in Altamont. Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour before services on Wednesday, both at the church. Gieseking Funeral Home in Altamont was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Voelker was born on Thursday, March 7, 1940, in the Bethlehem community, rural Mason, the son of Reinhardt P. and Caroline (Alwardt) Voelker. He married Judy Hankings on Sunday, June 21, 1970, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Shumway.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Todd Voelker and his wife Denise of Shumway, Troy Voelker and his wife Lisa of St. Elmo, and Trevor Voelker and his wife Tiffany of St. Elmo; and daughter, Timmerle and her husband Kyle Scholes of St. Elmo.
