Donald K. Lotz, 65, of Vandalia, died at 1:32 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2013, at his home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Augsburg Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Shobonier, with the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the church. Cremation will follow the services on Monday. Memorials: Vandalia Field of Dreams or Fayette County Health Department. Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lotz was born on Nov. 4, 1948, in Vandalia, the son of Carl and Ella Knecht Lotz. He married Janine Schnarre on Aug. 29, 1970.
Survivors include his wife; son, John Lotz and his wife Monique of Vandalia, and daughters, Kim and her husband Rich Well of Vandalia, and Kelly Brehm of Chatham.
