Obituary

Donna L. Lee, 80, of Charleston, passed away on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Brookstone Estates in Charleston.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Harper-Swickard Funeral Home in Charleston. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Mattoon. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials: Church of the donor's choice.
Mrs. Lee was born on Sept. 14, 1933, in Charleston, the daughter of Alonzo and Wanda Gardner Cook. She was united in marriage to Robert Allen Lee on April 12, 1952; he passed away on Nov. 17, 2011.
She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved gardening and cooking, and she attended Northside Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Debra White of Charleston, and Gail and her husband Bob DePaolo of Vandalia; brother, John Cook of Charleston; grandchildren, Kelli Sanders, Nick DePaolo and Darcey DePaolo; a stepgrandchild, Tom DePaolo; great-grandchildren, Jarrett Austin and Maccie Austin; and a great-stepgrandchild, Anna DePaolo.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; stepmother, Alma; brother, Robert Cook; sister, Leona Hony; stepbrother, Dean Ray; and stepsisters, Charlotte Apple, Dorothy Shipley, Lois Elliott and Francis Bloxom.
