Eddie W. Oldham, 80, of Salem, formerly of Ramsey, died on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at his home.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday at First Baptist Church in Ramsey, with the Rev. Norris Price officiating. Burial with military rites was in Ramsey Cemetery in Ramsey. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey and one hour before services on Monday at the church. Memorials: or . Mr. Oldham was born on Aug. 4, 1932, in Shobonier, the son of Elmer Glenn and Maude C. Swick Oldham. He married Sandy Rinaldi. He married Annabelle (Warner) Hill in 1978; she passed away in 2001. He married Theresa M. (Stack) Patton on Aug. 31, 2002, in Sandoval.
He was a chief engineer for the Illinois Department of Corrections and was owner/operator of Oldham Real Estate. He was a member of Temperance Lodge No. 16. A.F.&A.M. of Vandalia and Ainad Temple Shrine of East St. Louis; was an active participant in ; and was a member of First Baptist Church in Ramsey. He was an avid gardener, he was the site observer for the Old State Capitol project and was an Army medic in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Chris and her husband Kevin Kistler of Vandalia; stepdaughters, Susan and her husband Fred Bauerle of Ramsey, and Renee and her husband Steve Palazzolo of Centralia; stepson, Keith Patton and his wife Regina of Salem; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
