Eleanore M. "Peggy" Lippold, 93, of Vandalia, died at 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday at Sweetbriar Retirement Home in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Vandalia, with Dr. Roger Grimmett officiating. Per Peggy's wishes, her body was donated to science via the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Lippold was born on Aug. 14, 1920, in Carlinville, the daughter of Albert and Mary Geiser Hoppe.
Survivors include daughters, Julie Hicks of Edwardsville, Barbara Ann and her husband Frank Randolph of Medor, and Jeanne and her husband Wolfram Schlicht of Vandalia.
