Gladys M. Meador, 88, Vandalia
Gladys M. Meador, 88, of Vandalia, died at 9:10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Robert Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the church. Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Meador was born on May 21, 1924, in Brownstown, the daughter of Clarence and Amy Brugger Buchholz. She married Donald L. Meador on July 25, 1947, in Mayfield, Ky.; he died on Jan. 7, 1984.
She was a homemaker, and she worked as a secretary for a legal office. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Vandalia.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan Meador of Vandalia; brother, William K. Buchholz and his wife Marge of Vandalia; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Harold Buchholz; and sisters, Agnes Commiskey and Violet Oberlink.
