Glady "Vontella" McEndollar, 95, of Neoga, formerly of Fayette County, died at 8:10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018, at Heartland Christian Village in Neoga.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25, at C&A Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo, with the Rev. Terry Sapp officiating. Visitation was held from 12:30 p.m. until time of services on Sunday, Nov. 25, at the funeral home. Memorials: Sidener Cemetery or donor's choice. Mrs. McEndollar was born on Feb. 26, 1923, in Wheatland Township, Fayette County, the daughter of John Frederick "Fred" McMillan and Myrtle Gertrude Williams. She married William Kenneth McEndollar on Dec. 21, 1939, at First Christian Church in St. Elmo; he preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 2006.
Vontella was a charter member of Home and Community Education, and the 119 Club. She was an avid quilter and crafter. She was a member of Brownstown's First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school, and was a director and teacher of Vacation Bible School.
She is survived by her daughter, Merna Manley and husband Wayne of Windsor; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son and daughter-in-law, Doyle and Janet McEndollar; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth McEndollar; sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Stanley Stine; and half sister, Dorothy Mahon.
