Grace V. Cripe, 91, of Vandalia, died at 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at the Fayette County Hospital Emergency Room in Vandalia.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Larry O'Dell officiating. Burial will be in McInturff Cemetery in Hagarstown. Mrs. Cripe was born on Nov. 7, 1921, in Nokomis, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Osborne Brown. She married John Cripe on July 24, 1948, in Pocahontas, Ark.; he died on Nov. 11, 1967.
She was a retired hairdresser and was an employee at FAYCO Enterprises. She was a member of Bayle City Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Cripe and his wife Charlene; granddaughter, Amanda and her husband Shannon Cole; grandson, Cassidy Cripe; stepgrandchildren, Ronnie Pyle and his wife Amy, Sara Gable, Mike Gable and Regina Burks; and great-grandchildren, Monica, Madison, Kaylee, Chase, Alyssa, Devon, Kirsten and John.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters.
