Hattie S. Anderson, 103, of Vandalia, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016, in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at First Christian Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Robert Francisco officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the church. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: First Christian Church. Mrs. Anderson was born on Nov. 12, 1912, in Madison County, the daughter of Emil and Constance (Tremblay) Rogier. She married Franklin W. Anderson on July 14, 1934, in Vandalia; he passed away on Nov. 30, 1982.
She was a retired secretary for McKellar Insurance Agency in Vandalia; a member of First Christian Church of Vandalia, where she was a past board member and secretary; and member of Christian Women's Fellowship, having served as the secretary/treasurer for many years and as president for one term.
She is survived by nieces, Dona and her husband Ronald Seller of Charleston, and Lynn Harrell of Fairhope, Ala.; and cousins, Bonnie Christin and Don Rogier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; caring companion, William Smail; and brothers, Harry and Clarence Rogier.
