Ida M. Wodtke, 100, of St. Peter, passed away at 4:25 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in St. Peter, with the Rev. William Emrick officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery in St. Peter. Visitation was to be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Pagel Funeral Home in St. Peter. Mrs. Wodtke was born on Sept. 1, 1914, in St. Peter, the daughter of John H. and Mary L. Schroeder Schoon. She married Julius William Wodtke on Sept. 7, 1939, in St. Louis, Mo.; he passed away on June 10, 1986.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church since 1914 and was a former Braille Bible Worker.
She is survived by daughters, Betty Wodtke of Vandalia, Marilyn and her husband Walt Cole of Vandalia, and Janine Wodtke and friend Roy Nichols of Vandalia; son-in-law, Abe Clymer of Vandalia; grandchildren, Marilee Stine, Cash Cole, Angie Fedie, Joy Clymer Heather Tirpak and Jessica Talley; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Kenneth Wodtke; daughter, Arlene Clymer; brothers, Paul, Emil, Richard and Adolph Schoon; sisters, Edna and Erma Schoon; granddaughter, Lindsay Dixson; and great-grandsons, Dylan Stine, Matthew Tirpak and Joseph Tirpak.
