James E. "Jim" Trible, 74, of Vandalia, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at Vandalia.

Mr. Trible was born on Aug. 3, 1940, in Baltimore, Md., the son of James E. Jr. and Inez Layton Trible. He was an accountant and the former owner/operator of The Jewelry Chest in Greenville. He was an avid ham radio operator & square dance caller.
He is survived by a son, James E. "Jim" Trible and his wife Christy of Vandalia; daughter, Christine "Chris" Taylor of Effingham; brother, Peter Trible and his wife Jeanne of Glen Allen, Va.; grandchildren, Courtney, Rhyane, Kip, Nick and Ian; and a great-grandchild, Jace.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
