James K. "Jim" Kistler, 78, of Vandalia, died on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
Sevices will be held at 7 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Bruce Sasse officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials: Donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.millerfh.net.
Mr. Kistler was born on Nov. 25, 1936, in Brownstown, the son of Clarence A. and Dorothy E. (Forbes) Kistler. He married Debra M. Washburn on Aug. 6, 1999, in Vandalia.
Survivors include his wife; son, Kevin Kistler and his wife Christy of Vandalia; and daughters, Karen and her husband Kent Sanders of Ramsey, Marcia and her husband Chad Belcher of Vandalia, and Tina and her husband Joseph Hardin of Georgia; and stepchildren; Quinby Hawthorne and Raymond Carroll, both of Vandalia.
