James M. "Jim" Padberg, 65, of Patoka, died on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at his home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Patoka United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Claton Coffey officiating and a eulogy by Brad Weathers. Burial will be with military rites by Patoka American Legion Post 543 and Illinois Army National Military Funeral Honors Team and "Taps" by Mike and Bobby Wilton. Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday at the church. Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Padberg was born on May 8, 1947, in Centralia, the son of James Dick and Ruth Irene Tober Padberg. He married Paula D. Torrence on Nov. 26, 1966, in Patoka.
He is survived by his wife; father; son, Jimmy Padberg of Patoka; and daughter, Lora Lee and her husband Dale Pearce of Salem.
