Jason Sugg, 43, of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at his home, surrounded by family and friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Young Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Jason was born on May 12, 1974, in Greenville, the son of Kenneth and Elois "Bonnie" (Koonce) Sugg. He married Hope Leonberger on June 29, 1996, in Greenville.
He grew up in the Greenville and Mulberry Grove area, and graduated from Mulberry Grove High School. He lived in this area all of his life, and had worked for Chevron in Highland as an auto body painter and repairman. He opened Powder Plus Inc. with his brother in 2007.
He is survived by his wife; parents; children, Elizabeth Sugg and Luke Sugg, both of Greenville; his honorary daughters, Samantha Pruitt of Brownstown, Mary-Beth Green of Greenville and Rachel Terry of Mulberry Grove; brothers, Ronnie Bingham of Greenville, and Jeff Bingham and his wife Kathy of Hawk Point, Mo.; sisters, Denise Sugg of Carlyle, and Tammy and her husband Phillip Wendling of Effingham. He is also survived by nephews, Jeffrey Bingham, Ricky Bingham, Keith Bingham, Brandon Bingham and Dustin Bingham; niece, Hannah Bingham; stepnephews, Tyler Sharp and Dusty Sharp; stepniece, Dakota Sharp; honorary granddaughter, Abigail Roach; and mother and father-in-law, Viva Kuepfer and Donnie Kuepfer.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Norman and Josephine Sugg; maternal grandparents, Harold and Lorraine Koonce; and brothers, Gary Bingham and Ricky Sugg in infancy.
