Jay Charles Little, 55, of Vandalia, passed away on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016.
Per Jay's wishes, his remains will be cremated and no services will be held. Memorials: Vandalia FFA Chapter. Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com.
Mr. Little was born on Dec. 21, 1960, in Vandalia, the son of George and Shirley (Willis) Little. He married Gayla Jahraus on Jan. 1, 2003.
Jay was a lifelong farmer, and former ag and power mechanics teacher at the Okaw Area Vocational Center in Vandalia. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Vandalia and Fayette County Farm Bureau, and was a former vice president and member of the South Central FS Inc. Board of Directors. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife; parents; daughters, Jamie and her husband Lucas Cearlock, and Lacie and her husband Travis Donaldson, both of Vandalia; brother, Jeff Little of Vandalia; grandchildren, Chandler Sasse, Andrew Donaldson, Avery Cearlock, Audrey Donaldson and Addey Cearlock, all of Vandalia.
