Johnny W. Wills, 85, of Beecher City, passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur.
Sevices will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City, with the Revs. Robert Tucker and Robert Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Bob Doane Cemetery in Beecher City. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Wills was born on March 24, 1930, in Fayette County, the son of Harlyn E. and Glenna L. Waddelow Wills. He married Doris Marie Little on Dec. 9, 1950, in St. Elmo; she passed away on June 16, 2011.
He was a lifetime farmer, was a member and trustee of Greenland Baptist Church, and he served as a Loudon Township trustee for 24 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Patsy M. Wills of Champaign; son, Jerry L. Wills of Beecher City; brother, Larry Wills of St. Elmo; sister-in-law, Bonnie Buzzard of Altamont; brother-in-law, Paul Maudlin of Hoffman Estates; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sister, Joan Maudlin; stepmother, Goldie C. Nohren; and brother-in-law, Roland E. Little.
