Joseph K. "Joe" Willms, 62, of Vandalia, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, in Vandalia.
Services will be held at noon on Saturday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials: Friends and Families of Fayette County Hospital or Fayette County Hospital LTC, both in Vandalia. Online condolences may be expressed at www.millerfh.net.
Mr. Willms was born on Jun 29, 1953, in Vandalia, the son of Gerald E. and Norma Virginia (Jones) Willms.
He was formerly employed at Old Goat Mowing and Brownstown Lumber, and was the groundskeeper at Vandalia Country and Golf Club.
He is survived by brothers, Paul "Whitey" Willms and his wife Susan of Shobonier, and John Willms and his wife Kathy of Brownstown; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Melvin Willms, in 2012; and special friend, Aileen Tinker;
