Josephine E. "Jo" Sharp, 94, of Patoka, died on Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, at her home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Patoka First United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Kenneth Wehrle and Clayton Coffey officiating. Burial will be in Pratt Cemetery in Patoka. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday and one hour before services on Friday, both at the church. Day Macz Funeral Homes in Patoka was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Sharp was born on Aug. 19, 1920, in Cowden, the daughter of Jesse and Pearl Smith Wehrle. She married Orval H. Sharp on Sept. 2, 1946, in Patoka; he died on Aug. 4, 2007.
Survivors include sons, Richard Sharp and his wife Marianne of Evansville, Ind., and Frank Sharp and his wife Toni of Patoka; and daughters, Joyce and her husband Phil Pontious of Broken Arrow, Okla., Patricia and her husband John Colias of Menomonie Falls, Wis., and Sheila Tudor of Patoka.
