Kay Carolyn Turck, 74, of St. Elmo, formerly of Brownstown, passed away at 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at Aperion Care in St. Elmo.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Elmo Christian Church, with the Rev. Tom Fedrigon officiating. Burial will be in Whitten Cemetery in Fillmore. Visitation was to be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Memorials: or Aperion Care Activity Fund. Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home in Brownstown was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Turck was born on Friday, April 2, 1943, in Fillmore, the daughter of Charles and Rena (Isbell) Griffin. She married Louis Joseph Turck in Las Vegas, Nev.; he passed away in 1981.
She was a member of St. Elmo Christian Church, and prior to her retirement, she had been employed with John Crane Packing Co. in Vandalia.
She is survived by a daughter, Michelle (John) Stewart of St. Elmo; grandsons, Caden and Calen Stewart; brother, Jim (Rita) Griffin of Keyesport; sister-in-law, Ginny Griffin of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
