L. Bernice Hoover, 85, of Brownstown, died at 6:46 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013, at Friendship Manor in St. Elmo.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Four Mile Christian Church in rural Brownstown, with Pee Wee Denton officiating. Burial will be in German Reformed Cemetery in Loogootee. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home in Brownstown. Memorials: Four Mile Christian Church. Online condolences may be shared at www.giesekingfh.com.
Mrs. Hoover was born on July 30, 1927, in rural Brownstown, the daughter of Fred and Mary
Franklin Kistler. She married Leonard E. Hoover on Aug. 7, 1943, in Vandalia; he died on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008.
Survivors include sons, Charles "Gene" Hoover and his wife Rose of Brownstown, Ronald Hoover and his wife Sharon of Brownstown, and Michael Hoover and his wife Connie of Broken Arrow, Okla.
