Larry L. Crotser, 72, of Nixa, Mo., formerly of Brownstown, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, July 27, 2014.
Graveside services will be held at noon on Saturday at Griffith Cemetery in rural Brownstown, with B.J. Deal officiating. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, Mo., and will be held from 10-11:45 a.m. on Saturday at Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home in Brownstown. Mr. Crotser was born on Jan. 26, 1942, in Fayette County, the son of Frank "Tom" and Flossie Kistler Crotser. He married Charlotte Radliff on April 22, 1961, in Brownstown, and they shared nearly 53 years together.
Larry started a long career in the shoe business in Vandalia and worked his way through Missouri at Jumping Jacks in Cassville and Monett, retiring with S.A.S. Shoes in San Antonio, Texas.
He and Charlotte moved back to Nixa, to be near their daughters and grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his wife; daughters, Tracy Cowherd of Ozark, Mo., and Dr. Dawn Negre of Aurora, Mo,; grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie Cowherd of Denver, Colo., Claire Cowherd of Ozark, Mo., and Rachel and Nathan Negre of Aurora; sister, Carolyn Blankenship of Keyesport; half sister, Patsy Schutz of Brownstown; and several nieces and nephews.
