Lenore Parkison, 90, of rural Brownstown, died at 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2014, at her home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Liberty Christian Church in rural Brownstown, with Michael Smith and Jim Dann officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to services on Saturday, both at the church. Memorials: Liberty Cemetery or Golden Years Building Fund. Mrs. Parkison was born on Monday, Sept. 29, 1924, in Loudon Township, rural Beecher City, the daughter of Jess T. and Vada Wright Childress. She married Dale Smith on Feb. 3, 1942; he died on Jan. 3, 1987. She married Otis E. Parkison on March 4, 1989; he died on Aug. 5, 2012.
Survivors include her children, Carolyn and her husband John Grames of Brownstown, Terry Smith and his wife Susan of Brownstown, Barb and her husband David Morrison of Brownstown, Lois and her husband Wendell Stoneburner of Beecher City, Billy Smith and his wife Cathy of Brownstown, Lola and her husband Keith Gehle of Brownstown, Mary and her husband Stan Salmons of St. Elmo, Gary Smith and his wife Diane of Brownstown, and Brian Smith and his wife Marsha of Brownstown; and stepchildren, Survivors include her children, Carolyn and her husband John Grames of Brownstown, Terry Smith and his wife Susan of Brownstown, Barb and her husband David Morrison of Brownstown, Lois and her husband Wendell Stoneburner of Beecher City, Billy Smith and his wife Cathy of Brownstown, Lola and her husband Keith Gehle of Brownstown, Mary and her husband Stan Salmons of St. Elmo, Gary Smith and his wife Diane of Brownstown, and Brian Smith and his wife Marsha of Brownstown; and stepchildren, Patsy and her husband Ron Tretter of Steeleville, Rosalie Tackett of Boca Raton, Fla., Deanna Carlock of Sullivan, Louise and her husband Steve Morrison of Beecher City, Pebby Parkison of Dallas, Texas, and Paul Parkison and his wife Deb of Brownstown.
