Leonard E. Rubin, 93, of St. Peter, passed away at 9:20 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the Revs. David Hoehler and Doug Meyer officiating. Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at Pagel Funeral Home in St. Peter. Memorials: St. Peter's Lutheran School, St. Paul Lutheran Church or donor's choice. Mr. Rubin was born on April 3, 1922, in Lone Grove Township, the son of Arthur and Norinna (Bernhardt) Rubin. He married Luella Buzzard on Feb. 18, 1967, in Vandalia.
He was a member of Men's Club at St. Paul Lutheran Church and served on the Fayette County Board for several years.
He is survived by his wife; son, Bruce Rubin and his wife LeaAnn of St. Peter; stepson, Ron Graves and his wife Kathy of Bloomington; stepdaughters, Sandra and her husband Scott Griffin of Altamont, and Brenda and her husband Deke Milliron of Milton, Fla.; grandchildren, Hannah and Sam Rubin; stepgrandchildren, Katie Wolk, Mark Graves, Ryan Graves, Keech Griffin, Courtney Griffin, Leigh Ann Ruffner and John Brown; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Norma Garrett, Arlene Meador and Thea Rubin; and son-in-law, Bob Brown.
