Lindel M. Schwarm, 45, of Farina, passed away at 10:35 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, surrounded by family at his parents' home.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Liberty Christian Church in rural Brownstown, with the Rev. Mickey McCammack officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in rural Brownstown. Visitation was to be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday and one hour before services on Tuesday, both at the church. Memorials: Fayette County Cancer Fund or Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Mr. Schwarm was born on Oct. 20, 1971, in Vandalia, the son of Bob and Faye (Sefton) Schwarm.
He graduated from Brownstown High School in 1989 and was an associate at Schwarm Brothers Inc. He was a member of First Christian Church in Brownstown and a former member of Temperance Lodge No. 16 A.F. & A.M. and Moose Lodge No. 1447, both of Vandalia. He enjoyed golfing, participated in pool leagues and played slow-pitch softball. He was free-spirited and truly one of a kind.
He is survived by his parents; special friend, Kim Koonce Fitch of Farina; daughter, Kinley Grace Schwarm of Farina; stepdaughters, Lexi and Kyrstyn Fitch of Brownstown; brothers, Bobby Schwarm and his wife Brenda of Farina, Monte Schwarm and Leslie Benhart of Farina, and Kyle Schwarm and Jane Scott of Brownstown; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ervin and Louise Schwarm, and George and Hazel Sefton.
