Marie E. Warner, 102, of Vandalia, formerly of Ramsey, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Sweetbriar Retirement Home in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at First Baptist Church of Ramsey, with the Rev. Jeff Shouse officiating. Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery in Ramsey. Memorials: First Baptist Church of Ramsey. Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.millerfh.net.
Mrs. Warner was born on Jan. 23, 1914, in rural Ramsey, the daughter of John Elmer and Johanna Mae (Watkins) Fouts. She married Rufus Andrew "Bud" Warner on Feb. 15, 1932, in Hillsboro; he passed away on Sept. 5, 1992.
Marie was retired nurse's aide at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, and a member of First Baptist Church of Ramsey.
She is survived by sons, Robert Warner of Ramsey, and Johnnie Warner and his wife Karen of Ramsey, and Billy Warner and his wife Kim of Vandalia; daughters, Donna Whitten of Cleveland, Tenn., Mary and her husband Tom Hayes of Herrick, Betty and her husband Gary Goodman of Ramsey, and Linda Moreland & fiancé Beril Gillman of Ramsey; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Anna Belle Oldham; sisters, Lucille Weaver and Louise Reaves; brothers, Melvin and Lloyd Fouts; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
