Marilyn B. Rubin, 81, of St. Louis, formerly of St. Paul, was asleep in Jesus Friday, March 15, 2013.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church, 737 Barracksview Road, St. Louis, Mo. A private burial will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in St. Paul. Kutis South County Chapel in St. Louis was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Peace Lutheran Church or her scholarship fund at St. Louis University School of Nursing.
Mrs. Rubin was born Feb. 29, 1932, to the late Bernhard and Alma Rubin; sister of Clarence (Betty) Rubin and the late Louis (Erna) Rubin, Paul (Lillian) Rubin, Richard (Marjorie) Rubin, Marcus (Dorothy) Rubin, Walter (Jane) Rubin and Margaret (Alwin) Wollin; aunt of 18 nieces and nephews and many great- and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was a 1951 diploma graduate of Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis. She taught in several nursing schools in the St. Louis area. As a professor, she served as the Director of Research at St. Louis University School of Nursing and was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church, serving on many committees.
